Axell Wireless’ digital off air products are based on patented digital DSP (digital signal processing) technology and use a SDR (software defined radio) architecture that is the most advanced in the industry, which allows for an almost infinite number of possibilities for filtering radio channels and other blocks of RF spectrum. Traditional hardware systems limit cross functionality and can only be modified through physical intervention whereas Axell’s SDR architecture enables new wireless features and capabilities to be added through a software rather than hardware upgrade. This provides flexibility, lowers deployment and maintenance costs and future proofs a capital investment.

Axell’s cellular digital off air solutions are ideally suited to provide cellular coverage in a number of environments including small, medium and large buildings. Other applications include tunnels, metros, rural or remote locations and onboard trains. The products can easily be configured for single or multi-operator use and support any major wireless technology including GSM, EDGE, DCS, CDMA, WCDMA, LTE in any of the established cellular bands including 800MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz and 2600MHz. Such is the flexibility of Axell’s architecture that the products can easily support a mixture of wireless technologies in the same band.
